This is the Celestron PowerSeeker 114EQ. A Newtonian-reflector style telescope. I found this for a hundred bucks at a Goodwill back in October of '17 (guess who bought it for what? Their loss.) It has a German counterweight mount thing that i'll insert the proper naming convention here when i remember it (Equatorial mount, and this may or may not be German made, I read it somewhere and initially thought that was the full name,) . and an aluminum tripod. This has five different lenses available to it, from 25mm down to 8 or 4, plus a forgetting the b name of the tube again. Bowler? Bowden? Borosilicate? BARLOW! there it is! It's about a 1.5" focal addition? I think they label it as 3X
Mine's currently in repair because I broke the mount, and one of the leg-clamps on the tripod. I'm planning on getting a whole new lower unit from Meade when i get my next paycheck. I'd love to get a Full-Size solar filter sometime, maybe I'll make my own again. But that will be a project for a later time,
UPDATE: 06/14/2018 - I have received the new mount in the mail, and will be updating the picture when I can, and it is SO GOOD. I'll have a separate entry for all of the details, but it's the Meade LX-70.
